Gliiter Art Tutorial

Please note that for this tutorial I will be using different colours to what is shown in the picture above to give you an idea of the possibilities of Glitter Art.

Step 1:

Choosing the correct colours are crucial. If you choose colours that don’t mix well you will probably end up looking like a clown. So I suggest choosing 3 colours: 1. Really light , 2. Medium and 3. Dark. This is not the rule of thumb. The more you experiment, the more you will know what works and what doesn’t.

The Crystal range is a good place to look for your light colour; if you look carefully you will see the difference between the four colours on our website.

Secondly, choose a medium colour… there are so many.

Thirdly, choose a dark colour that complements or flows into your medium colour.

These are the colours I chose for this tutorial:

Index Finger:

Middle Finger:

Ring Finger

Step 2:
Wash your hands and do your Nail Preparation (Chapter 3, Steps 1-5 on DVD).
If you need to extend your nail (Chapter 8, Steps 1-13 on DVD).

Step 3:
Apply Bonder and wait 1min

Step 4:
Apply one layer of One Step Gel, cure for 2 min.

Step 5:
With a clean brush, dip the brush into the dark glitter and then gently press it onto the sticky nail, (press not paint.) The idea is to undergo a transformation from dark to light. The dark looks best on the tip of the nail, but once again… experiment

With a clean brush dip the brush into the medium glitter and press it onto the nail. Overlap a little onto the dark colour, to make the colours flow into each other.

Lastly, with a clean brush dip the brush into the light glitter and gently press it onto the nail, overlapping just a little to make the colours flow into each other.

Step 6:
Seal the glitter together with a layer of One Step Gel, cure for 2 min.

Step 7:
Sanitize. If you feel that the glitter has made little bumps / rough particles, take a Buffing Block and gently remove these bumps. Don’t overdo it as you will remove the glitter completely and all your hard work will go to waste. The idea is not to remove the Gel, only the unevenness. Sanitize once again.

Step 8:
Apply last layer of One Step Gel to seal the deal. Cure 2 min.

Step 9:
Sanitize and apply Top Coat.
