Squeeze out a little more summer

Feeling a bit bored I decided to play around with some of our new colours. I was having so much fun when finally I decided to mix Yellow and Red Opal. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised and had to share this with everyone else. I don’t wear oranges but I must confess, I can’t wait to gel my nails with nr 5 or nr 6 in the picture below.

We decided to import 3 colours that would make it possible for you to mix as many colours as your imagination will let you! Since Blue and Yellow are part of the Primary colours I am confident that you will be able to mix more colours than you ever thought possible.

Pigments used: nr 1- Yellow Matt (pictured above) and nr 7- Red Opal (pictured above)

I started by mixing 20 drops of One Step Gel and 4½ scoops of Yellow Pigment (nr 1). I then added ½ a scoop of Red Opal (nr 7) to get nr 2. I then added about ½ a scoop of Red Opal to the same mixture to get nr 3. I added 4 drops of One Step Gel so that my ratio would still stay the same. I continued the same way until I finally mixed nr 6.
You would also be able to start with Red Opal and add Yellow going lighter and lighter.

If these colours are a bit to “loud” for you, mix a scoop of White Gel into your mixture. You will get lovely pastel colours that would satisfy you more.

Hope this will help you experiment more with colours and hopefully squeeze out a little more summer fun before Autumn.

If you have any interesting colours that you would like to share with us, please take some pictures and email it to antoinette@angelicnails.co.za
