For those who don’t know, the Professional Beauty Expo is a Cosmetic Expo held in Durban, Cape Town and Joburg once a year for Nail Technicians, Salon owners, Makeup Artists, Beauty Therapists and students. It is held to promote awareness about products and inform people in this industry on more opportunities and don’t forget all the specials.

Compliments stretched from “The Best Gel” to “Beautiful Stand” lifting our spirits and giving us new strength for the next half of this year. It is a great feeling to know we are doing something right.

As for our next show, it will be held at Gallagher Convention Centre, 30-31 August 2009. We will have great specials and much more. Keep an eye on the Professional Beauty website for more information. http://www.professional-beauty.co.za/ However this show will only be for Nail Technicians, Salon Owners and Students

As for all our new Durban clients, Welcome! We do hope Angelic Nails will only bring a smile to your face. For orders please visit our website to see who the Distributors are in Durban

Why does my Gel lift and sometimes chip at the Free Edge?

Most of the time, the reason for gel chipping on the free edge, is due to the first layer of One step Gel being applied to thin on top of the Bonder. The first layer of Gel needs to be a solid foundation for the rest of the treatment. If the first layer is to thin, your foundation is weak and cannot last for more than two weeks.

We have found that most of our clients apply the gel thick enough around the cuticle area but when applying the gel towards the free edge, the application becomes too thin. We suggest applying more gel to the free edge before curing. It needs to be evenly spread throughout.

See sketches below:

The free edge does not have enough One Step Gel to last 3 - 5 Weeks

To prevent Gel from chipping on the free edge apply One Step Gel evenly throughout the Gel application.
